Multi Combination Licence
This course is designed to cover the skills and knowledge required to obtain a
licence to drive a multi combination vehicle.
Skills covered are controlling the vehicle, monitoring road conditions, following road rules and managing hazardous situations. Additional skills include communication skills to work with others and skill in reading instructions, procedures and signs.
This course meets the DIT licence requirements and regulations for multi combination vehicles.
A theory component must be completed before the practical assessment
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with DIT Regulations students must have held their “HR” or “HC”
licence for one year to be eligible to complete this class of licence.
Applicants that hold “HR” licence class must demonstrate that they are “HC” competent
prior to undertaking MC Assessment. (at extra cost)
MC Course is “Assessment Only” and must be proficient in driving a HC heavy vehicle. Additional costs if extra training required.
Applicants must be physically fit – should the applicant have identified medical issues that may prevent them from driving this class of licence, an approval to gain a heavy vehicle licence from the Licencing Regulator is also required.
