L.I.T.A. conducts exhaust temperature testing of forest harvesting machinery in the South East of South Australia and Western Victoria on an annual basis, predominantly between the months of October and early December.
It has been endorsed by the local forest owners as a preventative measure to assist with prevention of fires of both the forest and forestry machines.
The process involves attaching a probe onto the exhaust system of the forest machine and using an electronic thermometer to record the exhaust temperature.
If you require exhaust temperature testing for your machines contact the L.I.T.A. Office on 08 87 351474 to arrange for our staff to conduct the test.
