Environmental Care

L.I.T.A. offers Environmental Care Training and Certification to operate in accordance with the Timber Harvesting Regulations, Code of Forest Practice for Forest Operators.

Forest Operators have a responsibility to minimise damage to the environment they are working in.  The Environment is the surroundings in which an organisation/employee operates including air, land, water, natural resources, flora & fauna, humans and other inter-relations.

The Environmental Care Training Course consists of ½ day off the job classroom session that covers a range of topics including Environmental Care Principles, Environmental Management Systems, Roles and Responsibilities, Management of Emergencies.

An Assessment is conducted on the job to complete the requirements of this unit.
