About L.I.T.A

Logging Investigation & Training Association (L.I.T.A.) is based in Mount Gambier South Australia.L.I.T.A. was formed in 1973 by key Forest Industry Personnel in the Green Triangle region (consisting of South East of South Australia and South West Victoria) with a primary objective at the time to reduce the accident and injury levels and enhance the productivity of the work force.  Formal training of forest workers commenced in 1975 and has continued and evolved to the present day. The range of training products have expanded into Transport and Machine Operation in recent years.

We are an industry based nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (National Provider No: 0577) that meets the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and services the regional Forest Industry in South Australia and Victoria.  Our key aim for over 40 years has been to facilitate the development of efficient and productive workplace systems in conjunction with enhancing safety performance among industry workers.  The aim is as relevant today as it was in the beginning.

L.I.T.A is an incorporated not for profit association that is run by an Industry Board consisting of representation from within the Forest Industry and Transport Sectors, and is the longest serving Forest Training Unit in Australia.
